I cannot recommend this studio enough! As someone who had never taken a single dance lesson in my life, I was incredibly nervous, but the atmosphere here is pure magic. From the moment I walked in, I felt completely welcomed and at ease. The instructors are not only talented but genuinely kind and patient. There is absolutely zero judgement; they meet you exactly where you are and focus entirely on making sure you have a blast. I spent the whole session smiling, laughing (and sweating !) -it was the most fun I’ve had in a very long time. As an added bonus, they have the cutest dog that makes the studio feel more like home. If you’ve been thinking about trying ballroom dance but are too intimidated to start, this is your sign to go. You’ll leave feeling confident and happy…and maybe even a bit sweaty lol!

Beach Ballroom Toronto is, without question, Leslieville's BEST Latin and ballroom studio. From the second you walk in, the studio feels bright, warm, and welcoming. The space is clean, beautiful, and has such an uplifting energy. It’s the kind of environment where you immediately feel comfortable, whether you’re a complete beginner or have years of experience. It is painfully obvious there's a deliberate attempt to publicly smear Beach Ballroom online, it is beyond transparent. Certain individuals are working overtime to manufacture an aggressive narrative that is a completely wild misrepresentation of the true environment of BB. As Napoleon Bonaparte famously said “Envy is a declaration of inferiority.” The instructors are truly what make Beach Ballroom exceptional. You can tell right away you’re learning from some of the most highly accomplished professional ballroom dancers in Canada. Their technical ability is world-class, but what’s even more impressive is how they teach. Richard and Laura (owners and instructors) are literally world champions in their profession. They have an extensive pedigree, complete with titles only given to the most deserving in the latin world. And if that’s not enough convincing, ask their 375+ thousand followers how talented they are (not to mention the 8 million likes across all of their dance content). But titles and statistics aside, they graciously leave their ego's at the door, no matter what level of training they are providing. ALL of the teachers at BB are genuinely kind, caring, and focused on each student’s development, not just attendance numbers. There is no push for sales, no pressure, and no gimmicks — just honest, high-level teaching in a supportive environment. They meet you exactly where you are and make you feel capable every single class. Lastly, my favourite aspect of Beach Ballroom is the community. All of the students are so welcoming, and supportive. No cliques, no weird vibes, no ego. It’s rare to find a studio that feels this inclusive while still being so professional. Everyone is focused on improving and having fun, not judging or competing in a negative way. People actually celebrate each other’s progress, and the whole place feels like a community, not a transaction. Beach Ballroom stands out for all the right reasons. It’s a studio that lets the quality speak for itself. Positive, professional, and built on good people. If you’re looking for elite instruction, a warm and inspiring space, and a supportive atmosphere, Beach Ballroom Toronto is absolutely the place. And besides - the real ones know a public smear attempt is just a sad form of flattery!

Absolutely love this place. I take my Sensual Bachata lessons here with Ilinca - in my judgement, the most knowledgeable instructor in the city and truly one of the best dancers I’ve come across. I also really appreciate the professional environment offered by Beach Ballroom. Richard, one of the owners, is an exceptionally experienced dancer with a wealth of knowledge across many styles - from ballroom and hustle to Bachata. More importantly, he maintains very high standards for both the facility and the instructors. I would also like to sincerely thank Laura, also an owner and professional dancer at Beach Ballroom, for her kindness and thoughtfulness. From the moment of my first visit, she introduced herself, reached out to me, and made sure I was well accommodated and guided toward what I was looking for. Thank you once again for being so professional, welcoming, and kind. And if you find contradicting reviews, all you have to do is come to a trial class and see for yourself!

By far the best dance studio in Toronto. The owners, Laura and Richard, are incredibly kind and welcoming, and also world-class dancers (Blackpool and world champions) with an amazing depth of knowledge. Every instructor is highly educated, professional, and genuinely invested in helping you grow always encouraging and never judgmental. The studio is spotless, beautiful, and easily the cleanest and most aesthetic dance studio I’ve ever been to. On top of that, the community is warm, supportive, and welcoming. If you’re considering ballroom dancing, this is absolutely the place to go😌💃

5 stars isn’t enough! I’ve been attending group classes here for a couple of years. After seeing some recent false posts, I felt compelled to post this and share my own review. I take private lessons with an independent teacher and have only been paying for group classes at Beach. Never in my time here have I ever been pressured into taking privates. And more importantly, I have always felt welcomed and treated with warmth and kindness - no different from any of the students. I’ve participated in ballroom competitions over the last couple of years, and despite the fact that I pay my private teacher separately (outside of Beach Ballroom), Laura always takes the time to help me with hotel reservations, hair/makeup, etc so I can just enjoy the competition experience and focus on my dances. For that, I could not be more grateful. Wednesday’s are my favourite. Richard’s Latin technique classes are in a category on its own. My dancing has improved so much thanks to Richard. And yes, it’s a technique class, but Richard has a way of making sure his students have fun and experience the pure joy that dance brings!! Highly recommend Beach Ballroom - it truly is my HAPPY place!
