A cozy and chill ambiliance. This is a perfect friends or couples chill spot. There are limited seating but it allows private conversations to happen. It specializes in bingsu (shaved ice), dessert originated from Korea. There is a good variety in bingsu for customers who prefer fruity to savory flavors. We opted for oreo mango bingsu and injeolmi bingsu. The injeolmi is a classic. It is made out of glutinous rice cake, mochi and red bean paste. It is coated with bean power which is very subtle. The portion is a nice size considering the bingsu range from $10-13. A grown up can easily finish one serving. While I think this is a good spot and will revisit if I am in the area, the shaved ice is incomparable to the one I tried in Korea cafes. It was alot more fine and melts in your mouth.

Ordered Mango Almond and the mangoes are tasteless and even sour. When I brought it to the store’s attention, the store attendant said mangoes are not in season so they are using apple mangoes. But the menu said mango almond not apple mango almond. If that is the case then they can just take it off the menu as it seemed like we were just eating ice. The store offered mango sauce as an afterthought and thank you, that made the bingsu tasted somehow like mango.

If you’re craving a refreshing dessert that hits all the right notes, Bingsu Beans is a must-visit. Tucked inside a bustling Asian food market in Scarborough, this cozy spot serves up Korean shaved ice creations that are as beautiful as they are delicious. The bingsu here is top-tier — ultra-fine ice that melts like snowflakes on your tongue, topped with fresh fruit, chewy mochi, and indulgent sauces. Whether you go for the classic mango or dive into matcha or Oreo varieties, each bowl is a flavourful adventure. Their drinks and snacks are just as satisfying. Try the croffles or mochi waffles for a warm contrast to your icy treat. Tips for your visit: • Parking can be tricky. The plaza is always busy, especially on weekends, so plan ahead or carpool if you can. • Minimum order alert: If you’re coming with a large group, be aware that Bingsu Beans has a minimum order requirement per person. It’s best to check ahead so there are no surprises. Despite the crowds, the service is friendly and the desserts are worth the wait. A perfect spot to cool down and treat yourself after shopping or exploring the market.

I’ve been here plenty of times and the sizes of the bowls have changed over time. To be honest, I don’t remember if they were all relatively the same size, but during my recent visit, the bowl was definitely bigger (which I’m not complaining about). I usually get the mango bingsu and it almost always hits! I noticed the shaved ice at the top doesn’t really have much flavour though until you get closer to the bottom. If the sweetness of the ice was consistent all throughout, the specific flavour will definitely taste more uniform.

Came here with a group of friends and had a great time. This is a really nice place to chill and enjoy bingsu together. There’s a wide variety of flavors we tried the Thai tea, berry, matcha, and injeolmi bingsu, and all of them were delicious and refreshing. A great spot to hang out and grab dessert.
