Congee Wong has clear ties to Congee Queen, but unfortunately misses the mark since Congee Queen does it so much better. Their menus almost mirror each other, and an advertisement for Congee Queen's newest venture is plastered outside. The Congee Queen Group is all about consistency, but there's just something about Congee Wong's food that was a step below my expectations. As you can see, we ordered quite a few options. While there was nothing wrong with the dishes, the flavour wasn't quite there. My favourite item was probably the clams in black bean sauce, which came in a decent portion and had a good taste. Everything else was pretty average. The price did end up being good split between the 7 of us (around $25 each). Not sure I'll be back, but not a bad option for a quick meal in the neighbourhood.

We ordered from here for delivery. We politely asked for the items to be labeled because some people have dietary restrictions due to religious reasons. Unfortunately, the orders were not labeled, which made it difficult for us to determine which dish was which. The food was okay overall, about half of the group enjoyed it, while the other half did not. The noodles were a bit hard, and the sweet and sour pork was tough and chewy. Some containers were left untouched because people could not identify the dishes they had ordered.

Plenty of parking in small shopping center. Fast service with a huge menu. Congee was great but didn't enjoy the stuffed peppers and eggplant (dim sum). Totally slathered with a dark sauce.

I first stumbled upon Congee Wong with my friends back in my college days, and somehow, it’s become a place I’ve kept coming back to for over 20 years. There’s something so comforting and timeless about this spot — the flavors have never changed, and every dish still tastes just the way I remember. It’s not a fancy restaurant, but that’s exactly what makes it special — a place where you can feel at home, relax, and enjoy a warm, familiar meal that brings back memories every time.🤗

Always love the food here, I will take the soft shell crab friend rice next time because we were so intrigued that none of us remembered to take a photo of it :) We like it here than Congee Queen because of they have more variants than we like :) Staff were all friendly too. I would give it 3 for atmosphere because the place is cramped but like any other good Chinese restaurant, it is expected to be packed so I’m giving it a 4 on that.
