I had a very disappointing experience. The chocolate fudge cake I purchased was extremely dry inside. When I went back to let them know, the first staff member I spoke to was unprofessional. She repeatedly said she couldn’t do anything and that this was the first complaint they had received, while looking down at the kiosk screen instead of properly addressing us. I politely asked for a replacement or refund, but both were denied. The only option offered was to add more chocolate syrup, which I declined because the cake already had enough, the issue was that the cake itself was dry. The manager (the woman wearing a hijab and glasses) was equally unhelpful and made no real attempt to resolve the issue. Even when I offered to pay the difference for another dessert, they refused. The only other suggestion was adding a scoop of ice cream, but I would have had to pay extra for that as well. The new employees and current management are extremely unprofessional and unorganized. My family and I used to visit often and always enjoyed it, but the service has clearly gone downhill. I’ve had prior unhelpful experiences under the new management and chose not to say anything at the time, but this situation confirmed the decline in standards. Charging $13 for a slice of cake sets a certain expectation for quality and service. Unfortunately, neither were met. This was one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve had, and I’d rather not come again.

Right off the bat, the atmosphere felt a bit worn down. The cozy vibe I remembered was dampened by broken soft-seated couches that definitely need replacing. When it came to ordering drinks, I asked for an iced coffee with soy — they only had almond. My girlfriend got an Italian refresher with pineapple syrup, but they were out of that too. There was no mention of these items being unavailable on the menu, which was a bit frustrating as our server told us right off the bat they were out of it. On the bright side, the food arrived quickly, looked great and tasted pretty good.

This used to be one of my favorite places but the restaurant has gone downhill recently. First, they need to fix the bathroom smell. You can smell it everywhere in the restaurant. It's not pleasant to eat food while we can smell (and almost taste) the bathroom smell. Second, the place is severely understaffed. Given how busy it is all the time, your order doesn't get taken for at least half an hour and it takes another half an hour to prepare something like brownie and hot chocolate. I should have just gone to Tim Hortons to save time. I don't think I'm ever coming back to this location. One of the most disappointing dining experiences ever.
