A dessert heaven! The place is spacious, well-lit, and has an inviting vibe. There was a queue when we arrived, but the wait wasn’t too long. We ordered the tiramisu and the Formula bun—both were delightful. The tiramisu had lovely layers and a creamy texture, though it lacked that distinct coffee bitterness and the presentation was just okay. The Formula bun, on the other hand, had a perfectly crusty exterior with a rich, cream filling.

First time back at demetres after a long time. Demetres is a Toronto institution and it appears to be true almost 20 years later. Shout out to Aaliyah for her awesome service. Her demeanour may be almost as sweet as the ice cream. We had a Tongue Depressor waffle (chocolate with brownies and sauce) and a mango shake but it was too yummy to take photos beforehand.

Dessert was so good… I got the apple waffle and the ice cream was so good but I didn’t really like the apples. However, the waffle itself was amazing. Staff were super kind and seating was great. I recommend!

We had a fantastic time at Demetres! From the moment we walked in, we were seated within a minute, which was a great start to the evening. The service was impressively efficient; our order was taken in good time, and everything flowed perfectly from there. I had the waffles and ice cream and neutella sauce (Donatella Versace), and it was incredible—perfectly balanced, delicious, and savory. To top it off, the coffee was excellent and paired beautifully with the dessert. A special shout-out to our server, Simon. He was incredibly polite, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. It’s rare to get high-quality service at a busy dessert spot! Ambiance: The vibes were great—perfect for a date or a hangout with friends. Cleanliness: I was happy to see that even the washrooms were nice and clean. Overall, it was a wonderful outing with great energy. We will definitely be going back very soon.
