  We were so lucky to begin our journey with daycares at Funshine! They have set the bar HIGH! Our son loved his year in the infant/toddler program with Yuni, Gita, May & Sunny and all of his friends! Parent communication in person, on the phone and through the parent App was so helpful - ensuring we were all on the same team and knew what was going on with our little guy throughout the week. The pictures were our favourite! Each teacher brings unique strengths and big love for the kids - so warm, nurturing, generous, and passionate about their role in these little lives. We watched our son’s language, motor, social, and emotional skills soar in the last year, we truly believe his time at Funshine was a huge part of that growth. Shelina, the director, so thoughtfully hires the teachers. May left half way through our time, and we couldn’t imagine who could possibly replace her. But then came Sunny! And she’s incredible. Shelina and the teachers were so supportive during our transition from maternity leave and into daycare… we felt so confident that our little guy was safe and tenderly cared for. If not for a necessary move, we would’ve stayed as long as possible!

  We love this daycare! The staff is kind, understanding, and respectful of each child’s personality and play style. They even helped us through potty training with great patience and care.

  Few years ago Funshine was recommended to me by a friend whose son was there for years before us, at the time I was not happy with the policies and hygiene of my previous daycare, and I am glad that I listened to that friend. My daughter started going to Funshine since she was 30 months old and now she reached 11 years old and sadly she cant go there anymore as she grew up. All these years passed so quickly and smoothly that I can not believe it has been more than 7 years that my kid was going there. She always been a very active kid with less napping time and we never had a problem. I asked teachers and they were taking kids that didn’t want to nap for an afternoon walk when others were sleeping, and some teachers were on their break. Was a great solution. I loved their music class with Mr. Shelden which made my daughter to discover her enthusiasm for Music. Fun Christmas parties, summer camps, great playground and out door times, even the old playground before recent renovation was great place to keep kids busy and use their extra energy. Always supervised by staff. Never had any accident. Had a lot of field trips and birthday parties. Loved the multicultural mix of students and teachers and the environment. Showing kids how to feel equal and respect each other. Few months before starting Kindergarten they thought them writing, reading letters and working on their penmanship skills for couple hours a day which was very helpful. To describe 7 years of experience we had at Funshine is not something I can explain in a Google review as there are a lot of good memories and care we received there. All Teachers including the ones that are retired or moved to different venue in their life, to all those that are currently working there, were always nice, caring and respectful and had the best interest of the kids in their mind. As for Shelina the owner, she is professional, honest, frank and caring. She has set boundaries and rules that are important for safety and well being of ALL kids in her care and yet being kind and caring and fun and good friend to the kids. I can see that every day the Funshine bus stops at the school and how kids are running toward the bus just to say Hi to Shelina. Funshine is highly recommended, and We will stop by to say hi every time we will be in the area. Thanks Funshine for making 7 years of our life easy.

  I am speechless. It’s been 3 weeks since my 2 year-old boy first started daycare at Funshine and he has developed so much. I’ve always pushed him at home for doing small things, from feeding himself to clean up after his toys, but now he got interested even to clean himself up after his meals. Well, guess they have a fun ways to do it. Jokes aside he always arrives happy and leave the place with a smiley face. There is no comfort to ours heart to see someone taking good care of our little ones. I can see through his eyes how much care, effort and love they put in that place and that is wholesome. Their communication is always effective. At the end of the day the teachers always give us an heads up about his day, even though their system works really well (I am actually a big fan… it’s an app which they post photos, their routine - potty, diapers, naps, feeding etc). I am beyond grateful and could rate 1000 stars if that was possible. Not even talking about the facility itself. They have few rooms to accommodate the kids’ need - by age - and all of them are bright, cleaned, kids proofed and accessible for their height. There are 2 different playgrounds and a trail behind the daycare (which I assume they explore in the hot days).

  My child has attended Funshine Daycare Centre for the past few years, and I have been so grateful for the love and care provided. The centre offers a variety of activities, including art and music classes, which have enriched my child's learning experience. The outdoor playground is fantastic, letting the children to play and explore everyday. At home, except for reading books, we haven't taught him much, but thanks to the dedicated teachers, he has become proficient in numbers and the alphabet. As my child prepares to enter elementary school, his ability to communicate in English is entirely thanks to the kind and patient instruction of the Funshine teachers. I would especially like to thank Teacher Kimmy for her exceptional dedication. Every morning, she welcomed us with a warm smile, making both my child and me feel positive about starting our day. She not only cared deeply for my child but also made sure to communicate effectively with me. When I dropped off and picked up my child, she always let me know how the day went, what activities he enjoyed, and if there were any incidents, how they were handled (the only "incident" that I know of is my son bumping his head on the fence behind him while he jumped with joy). This level of detail and attention was incredibly reassuring for me and my husband as parents. What stood out to me was her genuine interest and affection for all the children. Her attention to even the smallest changes in my child's behavior and her thoughtful care were truly remarkable. Thanks to her, my child had a joyful and enriching experience everyday, and I felt supported and at ease. The dedication she showed toward children's growth and happiness allowed me to confidently send my child to Funshine every morning. Seeing him happy and healthy demeanor at the end of each day was wonderful, but hearing about it from a caring adult reinforced that sense of security. There are many excellent teachers at Funshine. I am deeply grateful to all the staff and hope many more children and parents will have similarly positive experiences here.
