Absolutely huge portions with Combo 1. Great value for the price. The food tasted decent overall. The server was friendly and attentive, but service was a bit slow since she was the only one handling all the tables on a weekend evening. Great decor.

Cozy, casual and family style diner with old school vibes in downtown Toronto. Lots of breakfast items to select from their menu. Staff here are attentive and efficient. We ordered the Classic Breakfast and the Eggs & Gyros. Not my favourite diner. The home fries were also not crispy or golden in colour. Food items were not heavily seasoned which is what I prefer but they butter your bread so you can't control how much butter is on it. Inside was super busy and there were many take-out orders during the time we dined there. Prices were affordable. There are a few steps you need to descend before entering the restaurant.

Better check before you visit this place. Sometimes there is movie shootings and it's not open. Otherwise, the food is good. The portion is generous and the price is right. It is a classic diner. Love it.

On Aug 23 2025 my girlfriend and I were helping my son move into a dorm on Carlton Street. While parked outside directly in front of this diner, we saw a lot of people going into and out of the place. My girlfriend said she saw staff help several elderly folk down over the couple of steps and even carried down walkers and wheelchairs for them. Obviously very caring staff. We deduced that the place was popular and decided to try. We ordered brunch from a very quiet and respectful gent. The food was very fresh and the portions were awesome! Please understand that this is a diner environment and space that opened over 60 years ago, so don't expect fine dining or decor. But the place is clean, the staff are very friendly and the food was excellent AND well priced. I will be back !!!

This restaurant we have eaten at or taken out from on multiple occasions, usually we order breakfast but today we ordered dinner. The older lady ( waitress ) is absolutely amazing and truly a great part of this restaurant. Today we ordered the 8 oz newyork steak dinner it comes with a salad either Greek or chefs, potatoes or mashed tatters and vegetables and or rice.
