Fried garlic chicken rice. No notes. Lemon tea, amazing. And the salted duck yolk pumpkin?! So good. They'll be condensing their menu soon and I hope these dishes will make the cut to the short list. Can't wait to go back again!

After a few years of following Anna and her parents' story online (after seeing her featured in an art show at the Varley Art Gallery, and more recently on the CBC show Locals Welcome with Suresh Doss), I finally was able to visit their shop! Along with friends, we came and met Anna and her mom. We got the Chinese New Year combo which included their signature lemon tea (I understand the love for this now!), house soup, ginger scallion chicken, sweet and sour pork (one of the best I've ever had), Maggie shrimp, salt and pepper squid and fish (this could've been crisper if the box had holes cut into the lid, or put them in an air fryer to crispy up at home), Buddha's delight, dried scallop with egg white fried rice (really good!), AND a beautiful lucky red pocket with a shiny Year of the Fire Horse x Riceboy (their mascot) sticker! The combo was perfect and highly recommended. We also bought a Chenpi Iced Red Bean drink (YUM), a Riceboy keychain charm, and Riceboy vinyl stickers. So happy to be able to try their delicious food and drinks. Will definitely be back! In the meantime, Riceboy will wander the GTA with me 🤣

I’ve had my eye on this spot for years thanks to clever marketing @greatfoutain. It did not disappoint, in fact it exceeded my expectations. Going there felt like a full adventure within the city. Especially as we were visiting after a stop at Big Al’s, and on one of the coldest January evenings of the year. And the place was packed! Awesome. We did some research before hand related to what we planned to order. Went with straightforward essentials, garlic fried chicken and braised pork belly. Both dishes were phenomenal and came as a perfect set combo with rice, soup and a lemon iced tea. You can change / upgrade your drinks which I plan to do next time - even though the lemon iced tea could not be beat. Do not I repeat do not skip the turnips. They were immaculate, the texture alone makes it great and the TASTE OMG. It felt great to enjoy such a tasty meal in a funky food court which I probably would not have made it to without a deep desire to eat at Great Fountain Fast Food. All my best to the wonderful family business behind Great Fountain - we ♥️♥️♥️ you!

We visited Great Fountain this past week after seeing it consistently on our social media feeds We arrived around lunch time, and saw a large group but received our food within 15 minutes. For freshly prepared meals, that turnaround time was not bad at all. We ordered the Garlic chicken on fried rice, Beef stir fry, Honey garlic chicken, 2 soups and 2 pops. The garlic chicken was crispy with strong garlic flavour throughout, not just on the surface. The fried rice was simple but paired well with the dish. The honey garlic chicken stood out because it wasn’t overly sweet. It leaned more toward savoury, which made it different from what you typically expect. The beef stir fry was generously portioned with plenty of beef, soft noodles, and vegetables mixed throughout. In total, we paid $45 for three large containers, two soups, and two drinks …very reasonable considering today’s food prices. The menu is extensive, and Anna (the owner) helped narrow down our options, which made ordering easier. This family-run business has been serving the community for 20 years, and after our visit, we can see why they’ve remained a staple. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and look forward to returning to try more items.

T44, T39, and T40 have become one of our go-to comfort foods :) If you enjoy savory meals, this place definitely hits the spot. The food is consistently great (and served hot), and the service is fast. We’ve tried both dine-in and takeout. The staff are friendly and the tables are always cleaned after a customer leaves. A big plus is the affordability-you truly get more than what you pay for. I haven’t found food this good at this price point anywhere else. It always comes with soup and a drink, too. We’ve always had rice meals here so we decided to try T5 today - so good! 💯 recommended this place to all my friends ❤️
