This place used to be good. Now it looks worn and dirty. No ice in drinks. They started cleaning the kitchen with bleach while people were still eating and the smell was nauseating. It was just disgusting. Couldn’t finish my meal and had to leave. Wont be back.

Disappointed. We'd been to the Mt. Pleasant location & always enjoyed it so...decided to try the one on Yonge St for a late breakfast. We were the only customers there and ordered 2 eggs Benedict and 2 coffee. The coffee came; then 'one order' came without the second??? The server didn't say anything so we flagged her over to ask about the other order. She seemed puzzled. We kindly reminder her we ordered 2; she said it would just be minute and was about to leave and my husband had to ask her to place it under a heat lamp until the second order was ready so we could eat together. When they came out the food was fine however the eggs were not done as we asked. Our coffee cups had been empty but we were not offered a refill. I again had to flagged the server over to ask for a refill. The music and atmosphere were good.

Arrived at 11ish, waited for like 10 min. Had Sunday brunch. Love it so much especially the light trucker, looks so inviting and tastes wonderful. Hash is a so so one. Coffee is great. Service is nice. Price is relatively reasonable considering the recent inflation. Definitely a place to come back soon👍

Service and food was awful. Received coffee cup with lipstick, garbage not cleared from table, had to ask for refills of coffee and forgotten about, plates sat on table waiting to be cleared for 20 minutes. The disappointing part is there were 2 servers and only 4 tables; It wasn’t a matter of the restaurant being busy, it’s was the lack of decent service. The food was cold and lacked flavour. For the Truckers Special the “Baked beans” were Heinz beans from a can, the eggs were watery, and coffee tasted like flavoured water. Not to mention the washroom was dirty and disgusting. $100 for four people and to have this experience, we can certainly say this is a place we would never return to.

We visited Hazel’s Diner recently, and unfortunately, it didn’t leave a great impression. The first thing I noticed was a layer of dust on the front counter, which wasn’t very inviting. On top of that, the dishes on our table weren’t cleaned properly, which was disappointing. I ordered The Caker, but it was really dry and lacked flavor, making the meal pretty underwhelming. The one positive was the server, who was friendly, respectful, and very attentive. She genuinely tried to make the experience better, and her excellent service is the only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1. Hazel’s Diner has potential, but they need to focus more on cleanliness and the quality of their food if they want to stand out.
