  1st time visiting and I was not disappointed. This spot is just a block from home and now I'm disappointed I have not been sooner. The food was excellent and service was top notch. The staff recommended a few things and we decided on the spinach & goat cheese crepe which was a SO good and my daughter went with an omelet!! Both excellent recommendations. Coffee was good and Mexican lemonade a little spicy for her liking, but really tasty. Great concept restaurant, it's a little cramped, but most spots are in this area. It definitely didn't take away at all from the dining experience.

  **Response to the owner. Thank you for your response. It is disappointing to learn that customers may be judged from the moment they walk in. This is a personal review based on my own experience, not a group opinion. I’ve visited your restaurant a few times, so my feedback is based on more than just one visit. I clearly acknowledged that your staff was friendly and corrected the tip issue at the moment, which I appreciated. However, I should have been informed that gratuity was already included for group visits. At no point during my visit was this communicated, so being asked to leave an additional tip felt misleading and not transparent. As for the food, regardless of individual preferences, or if it’s meant to be authentic or a modern interpretation of Mexican cuisine, my dish was served cold, which is simply unacceptable. To find that the bathrooms were not stocked with toilet paper was another issue, as this is a basic expectation for any establishment. Unfortunately, my experience didn’t meet basic expectations, and I’m sorry to hear that you were unhappy with my review. I do hope that going forward, your customers are clearly informed when gratuity is already included, so they’re not put in a position to tip twice. ***************************************** As a Mexican, I was excited to return to this place, hoping for a comforting taste of home. Unfortunately, this visit fell short of expectations. While the servers were friendly and attentive, the food was a letdown. I ordered the green chilaquiles, but the sauce was overly sour and lacked any spice. The scrambled eggs were overly chunky, and to top it off, everything was served cold. The washrooms didn’t have toilet paper. When it was time to pay, I was asked to leave a tip, which I did. However, after checking the bill, I realized that the tip had already been included—so I ended up tipping twice. While it was my mistake not to review the bill beforehand, I found it misleading to be prompted for a tip when it was already added. I brought it up and was refunded the extra amount, but the whole situation felt dishonest. Be sure to double-check your bill before paying. I won’t be returning. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, there are much better options than this place.

  I dine out often and understand that mistakes can happen in restaurants. However, this experience crossed several lines—especially when it comes to food safety and basic respect. I clearly stated a food allergy when ordering to both the server and manager, who notified the chef. Despite that, the allergen was placed directly onto my plate in front of me. Why would the server still serve this instead of taking it back? Trying not to cause a problem, I removed the allergen myself and gave it to the person I was dining with and initially tried to continue my meal. However, I soon realized I could no longer enjoy the dish and raised the concern. When this was brought to the kitchen, the chef made an incredibly inappropriate comment under his breath in Spanish that was loud enough to be heard. Being Spanish myself, it was easy to understand in a small restaurant. This level of disrespect is unacceptable. Instead of making it right, they offered something completely unrelated, which felt dismissive rather than corrective. This shows a complete breakdown in communication and basic food safety protocol. I should have relied on instinct and gone to Eden down the street, a place that actually demonstrates professionalism and quality service. From the outside, Huevos looks like it would meet similar standards, but once inside, it’s clear the staff are unhappy, disengaged, and poorly trained. I’m honestly surprised to see how many positive reviews this place has. It doesn’t feel organic, and I seriously question whether some of the glowing feedback reflects real customer experiences. Seeing other reviews, it’s clear this is not a one-off mistake. The responses from the owner read like damage control served with hollow promises of improvement. This is not what the people ordered. I bring this up here so that it’s very clear: Huevos Gourmet has a fundamental problem with accountability and standards that goes back years.

  I absolutely love this place! It’s a fantastic Mexican restaurant where everything is top-notch. The food is incredible, and the breakfasts are a real highlight — I especially recommend the Huevos Rancheros, they are simply perfect here! ​The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming. I also want to give a huge shout-out to Magdalena; she provides excellent service and is incredibly attentive and professional. Thank you for the hospitality, I’ll definitely be back!

  Amazing food and service, Been to their other location multiple times love love love the food and the service there as well, the benedict is my go to, tried their Quesabirria for the first time very delicious, will come back soon
