This is a mom and Pop style restaurant, a family owned business I believe. It is under new management and they have changed up the menu somewhat from before. We went to try out their $10 Monday night fish and chips special. We ordered one order of fish and chips, one Greek salad and one penne pasta, vegetarian style. Fish and chips - It was one good portion of fish with a substantial Fries and coleslaw. The batter was not heavy and was seasoned nicely. The fish was cooked nicely and was a nice light white fish. I’m not sure exactly what type of fish it was. The fries were hot and crispy and tasted great and the coleslaw was really good, a nice fresh flavour with a little bit of dill. Greek salad - I was really happy with this salad. It was not overdressed, it was fresh, the amount of feta was perfect, and it was presented very nicely. The portion was decent, I could’ve used maybe a little more but for two people it was more than enough. Penne Primavera - this was a vegetable pasta with tomato sauce. The pasta was cooked nicely and the sauce and vegetables. Accompany need it nicely as well. The flavour was good and fresh not too rich. I would’ve liked to have seen just a little bit more vegetable, but I enjoyed this dish. We also ordered one beer and one pop. Our total bill with tax and 20% tip was under $60. I thought that was very reasonable for what we got and we left very satisfied And comfortable. With the original owners, they were known for their pizza and for their Slovakia dinners. This will be our next trip to see how it compares. We have enjoyed their all day breakfast as well, capturing the earlybird special. It was eggs, protein, potato, and toast with a few pieces of fruit garnish. Everything was cooked really well and tasted great. For $8, I thought the value was Really good. The lady who served us I believe is the regular server, she is very nice and helpful and attentive without being overbearing. I thought she did a great job. The restaurant itself is clean and spaced out nicely and has that old-school mom and Pop feel. The restaurant is situated in a small plaza where there are other places to eat as well and parking is fairly easy. If you were out for a drive looking for somewhere different to eat, I would highly recommend this place for some really good comfort food.
