  Katherine Ramseyer is a talented pianist and an exceptional piano instructor. My daughter has been taking lessons with her for over a year now and the progress she has made in that short period of time has been amazing. Not only has she progressed in her piano technique, but with musicality in mind. Katherine is able to teach those little details...that little extra something that transforms the pieces my daughter is learning into something special. When the global pandemic caused Ontario to “shutdown”, Katherine was very quick to transition from in-person to live stream lessons. She is well equipped for online teaching. The platform she uses for lessons is easy to use. Video quality is great and the audio quality is amazing with virtually no latency between the student and teacher. Also, she is able to annotate sheet music in real time. To help organize what is being taught, she uses Tonara to document notes, to guide and motivate the student to practice. My daughter finds this all very helpful. With piano lessons going online, I can truly appreciate how organized Katherine is and how much effort she puts into her students. You really need patience, strong communication skills and a great ear to teach online! Every lesson has been a positive and encouraging learning environment for my daughter. I myself have had many years of piano lessons, with several different piano instructors and I can truly say that I am grateful to have found Katherine.
