  Koffman Academy of Music and Dance (KAMD) is, without a doubt, the best place for your child to take dance and music lessons in the High Park area! My two daughters have been with KAMD for three years now, taking various dance lessons, as well as guitar, piano, and voice lessons. The atmosphere is welcoming and positive, and the expectations match individual children's age and abilities. All the instructors are extremely patient and they also know how to motivate your child and promote growth. Ellie is passionate, full of energy, and committed beyond the highest expectations! During the COVID-19 pandemic she organized zoom classes and invited students to join all the classes suitable for their ages. This shows how much she cares about her students' well being and learning, and that she truly loves what she does! Individual music lessons also continued online. Ellie, Jake and all the other instructors' approach to teaching has my children asking for other lessons at KAMD and they also want to continue with the ones they are taking now. Kudos to all of you at Koffman Academy of Music and Dance!!! I highly recommend KAMD!

  If you're looking for a dance and music school that is not only excellent at passing on knowledge but also warm and welcoming, look no further than Koffman Academy of Music and Dance. Nestled in the west end of Bloor West Village, Koffman's unassuming frontage hides a fantastic wife-and-husband duo (she teaches dance, he teaches music) that will take your kids in (and adults, as well) and give them quality instruction. Students will see a marked improvement in whichever type of dance they choose. My daughter has previously done dance programs with the city, which were decent for the money. She has also attended a well-known dance school that didn't really deliver what was hoped for (and she is not a poor student by any stretch of the imagination). Once enrolling in KAMD, she was given proper attention and is flourishing. Students are also given the opportunity to perform, both in a showcase/recital at the end of the dance year, as well as in various festivals around the area. These activities build confidence and help the students learn how to harness the positive energy of what is usually a receptive crowd. While not personally experienced with the music aspect, I have heard students when they begin the year, and then watched them play in the recital. There is definitely improvement! On top of it all, Koffman feels like a big family. Everyone feels welcome and safe, and they all grow together. A wonderful addition to Bloor West Village!

  Love it here both miss Ellie and Jake and all the staff here are amazing and kind. My 3 almost 4 year old has been attending since she was 2 and a half, I had been searching for a studio that accepted toddlers young, as she had a love for dance since she was very little and she has autism so I wanted to encourage what she loves. Miss Ellie is a phenomenal teacher to my daughter her patients and kindness has overwhelmed our family and warmed my heart. knowing that my daughter can not only learn the art of dance but really love it with miss ellie's guidance means the world to me .
