My daughter has been dancing with Leslieville School of Dance and Music for 7 years now, and it has been an amazing experience. The instructors are caring, professional, organized and talented, and I have seen my daughter grow as a person and develop as a dancer under their guidance. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone looking to get their child involved in dance. Also, if you are interested as an adult in exploring dance, or in rekindling a passion from your own childhood, this school also offers adult classes. I took intermediate adult ballet with Larissa and found it to be a great workout with a supportive community vibe. You won’t regret it!

As a new family entering into the world of competitive dance with an 11-year old, we chose Leslieville School of Dance & Music on the recommendation of a very close friend (and former professional ballet dancer). We don't live in the neighbourhood and thought about the commitment to drive out-of-our way just to belong to this studio (we have two other dance studios within 5 minutes of where we live). BUT - we couldn't be happier with our choice! Ms. Kristen and her team of fabulous instructors definitely delivered everything we were looking for in a dance studio. Above all else, they truly bring out the "joy of dance" with their students! Their approach fits with our values as they encourage discipline, determination, and work with each student to improve the connection between mind and body. The showcase was fantastic! It was such a joy to see dancers, parents and staff come together. We have now finished our first competition and both my husband and I were impressed - the kids were so professional and supportive of one other, and their performances were simply stunning. The costumes are beautiful and tasteful and the makeup is actually not over the top. Hats off to this great team! Even though this season isnt over, we are excited for our next year with you!

My two daughters have been dancing with the Leslieville School of Dance for over 10 years. Witnessing what Kristen Dennis and her team have built over these years is something of a marvel. The care, talent and dedication that goes into all aspects of the organization are at the highest level. The teachers are professional, kind hearted and devoted. The facilities are beautifully designed and meticulously maintained. My eldest daughter, who is a member of the school’s new competitive program feels as though the school is a secondary family to her. It gives her a sense of community, mastery and confidence. Not only does she attend classes 3 days per week, she now works as an assistant at the school and the camps, deepening her connection to the school. I cannot recommend the Leslieville School of Dance highly enough for top level artistic programming.

My 5yo daughter attended two camps (Frozen and Encanto themes) at the new Beaches location in the Church of St Aiden on Queen Street East. She had an amazing time both weeks. We’ve been wanting to try Camp Monarch for a few years now but the Gerrard home location wasn’t really working for our schedules for drop off and pick up daily. We were so thrilled that Kristen was able to bring this experience to the far east end in the Beach! Each day was jammed packed with a full itinerary focused on all aspects of the Arts and even touched on mindfulness and Yoga activities. The crafts were thoughtfully planned and the incorporation of music and dance was beyond my expectations. The staff were so friendly and supportive. They also made sure there was outside activity daily, taking the group down to the beach for activities by the water and a nearby park. The communication from Kristen the owner was superb leading up to, during and after each week of camp. The sense of community with Camp Monarch is just what you would expect from Leslieville School of Dance. We will for sure be signing up again in the future at this location. We were blown away by the sense of creativity, imagination and wonder that emerged out of our child in such a short amount of time. It was by the best camp experience she has had yet! Thank you so much!!!!!

My child has been attending Camp monarch for the past 4 summers. It is one of her favourite camps and looks forward to it each summer. The staff are so caring and work tirelessly with the students to ensure they have a wonderful time at camp. The last two years my child has done the musical theatre camp at camp monarch. All I can say is each year has been better than the last! The first year they put on an amazing edition of Matilda, this year they created a play based on Taylor Swift songs. It is amazing what they were able to create in one week! My child is always so happy at this camp. I can’t recommend it enough! Thank you to all the staff that help create such a safe and creative atmosphere for our children!
