I’ve had better and I’ve had worse, but overall my experience at MADO was disappointing. The food lacked flavour, the rice wasn’t good, and the sampler dishes were underwhelming. It all felt pretty flat, especially for a restaurant that’s supposed to highlight Middle Eastern and Turkish cuisine. The service itself wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t enough to make up for the food. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t go again.

We hosted a birthday in this restaurant and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They let us set up however we wanted and were very patient with our large group. The food also came quickly and the staff kept being attentive to our needs. Lovely space for small and large groups.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We came here to try the Iskender and it was absolutely delicious. The Turkish food tastes just like in Turkey—the chef really knows what he’s doing. The restaurant has a new owner and he was very kind and welcoming. The place feels much better than before. If you’ve never tried Turkish food, I highly recommend starting here. Warm atmosphere and perfect for families.

Just had the döner at MADO Yorkdale and wow — it was super tasty! The sides were awesome too, full of flavor. I also grab their simit in the mornings sometimes, and it’s always fresh and perfect, absolutely the best in TORONTO . I feel like this might be a new season for them because the taste and quality are way better than before — seriously improved! Wanted to share this because they really deserve some love for how good everything is now. Definitely worth checking out!

I stopped by Mado Yorkdale , and it was a fantastic experience. I enjoyed their mixed baklava, warm kunefe, and crisp simit. The beef doner wrap was flavorful, and the homemade rolled borek was a cheesy delight. The lahmacun, Absolutely amazing. Zeynep, my server, was friendly and attentive. The ambiance was cozy, tastefully decorated, with soothing music. The owner was present, and you could feel their care. Turkish coffee, tea, and ice cream made the perfect finish. I’ll definitely be back!
