My daughter has been taking guitar, piano and band lessons for over 2 years. Great experience especially since we started lessons at the beginning of the pandemic. Lessons were on and off online and in person always in a very safe environment. She loves working with her individual teachers. They provide a relaxed environment conducive to learning particularly in the evening when she is a little more tired after a full day in school. She truly enjoys her time there. And then there’s the time with the band. She gets to actually put into practice all she has learned all these years she’s worked so hard on her instrument skills. The atmosphere is great and there are recitals at the end of the terms. Students have the opportunity to play in front of an audience and hone their performing skills. The owner is very much involved in organizing the lessons and while for some it might seem weird that the lessons are happening in a church, the venue is actually great because the rooms are very well distributed and if you get to play in the nave there’s excellent acoustics. They also have a great deal of instruments and amps. All in all an excellent experience!

His teaching style was perfect for my skill level - he was particular/precise so I could learn effective technique, but also patient. The vibe at the school overall was great too - everyone was very friendly and made me feel very welcomed.

I love this place. I've been a student at Mint Music for over 4 years. They have a great roster of teachers who are very knowledgeable and patient. Their rock band program is a great way to learn how to play with other musicians and their end of term recitals give you valuable experience in performing in front of an understanding and supportive audience. And they have an in house luthier who provides great service a reasonable rates. I recently had him do a complete set up and fret dressing on my electric guitar and I'm very pleased with the results.
