  As a childcare worker, I spent time with the children at PJA. PJA offers opportunities for children to spend extended periods of time safely outdoors, which undoubtedly helps to develop their physical abilities and curiosity. Through activities they came up with themselves, such as dancing, potion-making, and monster games, the children cultivated skills like cooperation, independence, and rich expressiveness. Derek provides a safe and educational environment for the children and welcomes them with a warm heart. I highly recommend this daycare to anyone looking for quality childcare!!

  PJA has been wonderful to work with. Our oldest attended the daycare for 3 years, and now my youngest is enrolled there. Derek provides a fun and inclusive culture! The kids get A LOT of exposure to the outdoors too. Also Boba has helped my kids with their fear of dogs (or at least little ones)!

He is a great host to learn a lot of important skills to have as an early childhood educator. His philosophy and values are great, and is truly one of the best childcare centres in town!

  We’ve been with Parker James academy since 2022, and I can honestly say it has been an amazing experience for our family. From the start, we trusted him with our oldest son, Derek, and he instantly formed a special bond with him. His ability to connect with kids—being both firm and playful—is truly unique. What really stands out about Parker James is the welcoming, family-oriented environment. The home-based facility feels like an extension of our own family, and we’ve grown to know and love Derek and his wonderful family. The trust we’ve built with him is priceless. We always feel confident that he will tell us exactly how things are going with our kids, which is incredibly important to us as parents. Now that he’s working with our youngest son, we are just as pleased with the care he provides. Our children consistently leave daycare feeling loved, cared for, and happy. We also love that they always have outings, weather permitting. It is something the boys look forward to. Another huge bonus is that he goes above and beyond by supplying lunch for the kiddos on fridays, which gives us one less thing to worry about. It’s just one of the many ways he makes our lives easier while making sure our kids are well taken care of. If you’re looking for a daycare provider who is trustworthy, caring, and genuinely invested in the well-being of your children, I cannot recommend Parker James enough.
