Generous portion, enough for two meals for a girl. The grilled fish fillet comes in five pieces, and the pork chop has two large pieces. Usually, it’s served with tomato/white sauce on top of fried rice. You can add cheese for a little extra cost, and there’s currently a 34% discount on the second order! The pork chop is well-marinated and lightly fried. The rice is nicely stir-fried, and I think the price is justified 👍🏻 especially for those who enjoy this style of Hong Kong cuisine. On another note, my friend highly recommends their ox tongue rice.

We had the sizzling plate, tomato sauce pork cutlet, black pepper fish, toast with ice cream. Food was great but could use more sauce, which was provided upon request at no additional cost. Seating was limited, most tables were meant of 2. and if you have a group of 4+, it’ll be hard to accommodate.

Stopped by this really small HK Cafe with an enormous menu for lunch on a Saturday and it was fantastic. We ordered their Combo M - Spicy Pork Chop with Maggi Sauce on Rice which was perfectly seasoned, their Chicken Cutlet in Pineapple Bun with Cheese Sauce which was incredibly delicious and Black Sesame French Toast with Golden Syrup which is to die for. We also had their Nai Cha and Thai. I also like their chili oil on the table which us available if you like spicy.

I’m a regular at the Woodbine & Steeles location and this was my first time trying the new location at Forest Manor for pickup. The difference in quality was very noticeable and disappointing. I ordered Spicy Pork Chop With Maggi Sauce On Rice 椒鹽豬排飯美極汁, which I have ordered at least 25 times in the past. At the Forest Manor location, the meat was dry, the portion was roughly 30% smaller than what the other location serves, and the seasoning was burnt, leaving a bitter taste. I also ordered an iced lemon tea with no ice, but it arrived filled with ice. This level of inconsistency is unacceptable, especially from a restaurant with an established reputation. The Forest Manor location needs serious improvement in both food quality and attention to orders.

Really small HK Cafe with an enormous menu. The menu is smaller than its sibling Phoenix Restaurants but has a condensed menu including all the favourites. Their plating is also much cuter and is reminiscent of the Phoenix 2.0 that opened and closed near Yonge and Steeles a few years ago. They currently have a deal where you can get 2 sizzling plate combos for $38.88 instead of $25 for one. This includes 2 drinks and 2 ice cream scoops and 2 pieces of waffles. You can either get 2 pieces of beef, or a sausage, chicken steak, pork, and a fried egg. They come with a sauce to pour over, onions, broccoli, corn, and your choice of fries, fried rice, or spaghetti. The beef one was super tender and cooked medium. You can request it be cooked differently. The Malaysian curry is always good but is quite spicy. If you do like spicy, they have chili oil on the table. They also have a drink deal where you can buy one get one of the same or lesser price including all drinks except for milkshakes. If you want takeout they have 2 for $28.88 baked dishes where you get to choose your protein, sauce, and carb. Parking is difficult. The suggestion is to park in the FreshCo parking lot which is nearby. They do accept reservations when they have enough space. It is cash or debit only with no cash discount.
