  Poise Dance Academy is absolutely wonderful! The owner is super friendly and welcoming, and the studio is always neat and well-maintained. Both my daughters love their ballet classes and have made amazing progress since joining. Their teachers are fantastic—knowledgeable, patient, and great with the kids. It’s a great place for anyone looking for quality dance instruction in a supportive environment!

  Our experience with Poise has been all positive. As my daughter only dances ballet, I can speak about their ballet programming. When we first came to Poise, Linda assessed my daughter and placed her in the appropriate ballet level. Linda, Stella and Emily instill proper ballet techniques, and will give a little push to challenge their students. We did not initially join the competitive team, there is never any push to join. We were welcomed by choreographers and dancers when we decided to take the competitive plunge! Becoming a competitive student was not hard for my daughter to transition into, as Poise does not separate competitive students from their recreational students. All students take the same skill classes for their genres. Having their students dance together and not separating recreational and competitive students shows how much Poise wants the best for all their students. The competitive dances are always so beautifully choreographed, the kid's talents shine through. The competitive team is supportive of each other and always cheer for each other. Watching the end of year production is always a treat. A lot of hard work goes into the production and you can tell. The productions are amazing stories told through all the genres of dance, whether it be a fairytale or a story about life's journey. Would I recommend Poise Dance Academy? YES! 100%. The quality of dance, care and attention each student and family receives is outstanding.

  My daughter started ballet this January and has developed so much of her confidence through attending the class. Ms Katherine is truly amazing and gifted in teaching the girls. She is so kind and patient which enables them to flourish, we are looking forward to continuing our journey at Poise and being part of their family.

  My daughter has been with Poise dance since the very beginning when the studio first started. It is amazing to watch both how the studio has grown and how my daughter has learned so much from Poise. My younger daughter is also a student of Poise. The teachers are caring and they put a lot of effort into the classes and interaction with the students. Both my daughters are very introverted, with taking classes from Poise it has built their self confidence through out the years. This is also in part because the dance teachers from Poise spent a lot of additional time in getting to know my daughters and enticing them to dance, especially in front of an audience. Their nurturing and patience has helped both my daughters immensely. My daughters enjoy and love the dance programs. We have steadily increased the number of lessons our daughters take each week because of their love of learning dance from Poise studio. I am very grateful that we were able to have our daughters in the Poise dance program, it has positively affected their lives and improved for the better.

Great range of classes too. And, the Poise Team pour so much heart and dedication into their year-end recital.
