Sabucco’s Dance Company has a culture that is inclusive, supportive, and most importantly a safe place for my daughter to learn, grow, and express herself. We have been part of Sabucco’s dance family for over a year, and our daughter’s growth in honing in on her dance techniques has been exceptional. More importantly, her teamwork skills, time management skills, ability to openly accept feedback, and her self-confidence have been the most notable benefits of this dance company. Lily has had the pleasure to be coached by Clara Ribeiro (Miss Clara), Ballet and Lyrical, who is very focused on organization, time management, and respect in her classes. Lily’s Hip-hop coach, Sentayehu Kingdon (Miss Sunny), has incorporated a lot of fun, play, technique, and stage comfortability in her classes. Mariah Sabucco, (Miss Mariah) Acro and Owner, is known for pushing the dancers to their best, she creates a space of open dialogue to ensure all dancers are heard and work as an effective, respectful team. Lily has also been trained by Meghan Ord, (Miss Meghan), and Paige Sargeant (Miss Paige) for solos and duets in the Jazz and Lyrical category. Miss Meghan and Miss Paige are unique coaches, as they are also full-time students and their dedication and commitment to coaching while being students has never waivered once all season. They have a unique ability to work within Lily’s ability and lead by example because they are both still competitive dancers. Sabucco’s is more than a dance company, they are part of our family and they are my daughter’s role models.
