Okay the CUTEST bowling alley! Very old very historic. Maybe like 10 -12 lanes. 5 pin! You have to keep score by hand! When we got there the guy who welcomed us told us all about how bowling was invented in Toronto and was really sweet, asked us if we needed anything or had any questions stuff like that. When I ordered a non alcoholic beer at the bar and he didn’t have one bc they had ran out we felt really bad and gave me a free soda water lime. They got some cool pinball machines. This place is generally just SUCH a vibe. Gotta check it out.

Hit up Shamrock Bowl & Restobar for some old school 5-pin bowling on a Friday evening. 8 lanes along with billiards ($2.00/game) and a foosball table. Each lane is limited to four people. Wasn’t busy with half lanes occupied. Our group of 6 rented two lanes for 90 minutes ($60.00/hr). Shoe rentals are $5.00/person. Managed to play three games; part of the charm is you have to manually calculate your own score. Also ordered drinks and typical bar food ($7.00 french fries and $17.00 pepperoni pizza).

So much fun at this awesome spot! 90 year old bowling alley in incredible condition. The lanes are 5 pin only (a game invented in Toronto!) and scoring is still done by hand (they show you how to do it). The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Food and drinks are available, although the kitchen was closed for the night, the menu looked yummy.

We had a great time! The 5-pin is a nice change, and scoring the game yourself is an authentic touch that sort of brings home the experience. I will say that it is a bit pricey, and the music could be better. The experience is most economical with a group of 3 to 5 people. Having said all this, I would love to go back!

What a spot. An authentically mid century bowling lane, complete with a bar. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a second storey bowling lane - it provides natural light and a way more human and playful atmosphere than the usual basement bowling vibes. Staff is helpful and friendly. Very decent bar. Very charming atmosphere. And while it’s not exactly cheap, it’s decent value given the memories made. I defy someone to not love it. Ever go to a place, and on the first visit, you hope they never close? This is one of those places. Just magnificent.
