I want to make other parents aware of my experience with Leo Nickerson SIGIS Daycare. In my opinion, the daycare is not properly equipped or consistently staffed to support children with behavioural or transitional challenges, including ADHD. After meetings were held and strategies were supposedly put in place to support my child, the solution ultimately became removing him from daycare rather than continuing to work with him in the environment he already knows. The reasoning provided was that they “need a few weeks to put things into motion” before he can return. For a child who struggles with transitions and consistency, this approach feels incredibly counterproductive. What is most concerning is that these issues were allegedly ongoing for months, yet there was little to no meaningful communication with us as parents until the sudden decision was made to dismiss him. Instead of proactive collaboration and support, the responsibility was shifted entirely onto the child. It was also very clear that some staff members were capable of working effectively with behavioural children, while others simply were not. With the amount of staff turnover happening there, consistency for children appears to be a major issue. At the end of the day, daycare providers should prioritize supporting children through challenges, not removing them when those challenges require additional patience, training, and effort. Based on this experience, I no longer feel confident placing my children in their care, and I will also be withdrawing my other child from the program.

Amazing School for our little children, the teachers will take very little breaks to make sure the children are well and safe

Apparently they do not aloud their staff (8 hour shifts) no breaks. This is not ok… I’ve seen the contact and it “says” any employee that works 5 or more hours gets a unpaid 30 min break or 2 - 15 min breaks. I know for a fact that this is not being followed.

Very nice staffs. Kind and loving to the children. The place is super clean and well organized (photos and daily reports are awesome ideas). So glad that we have this place in our neighborhood.

Staff were hostile, which doesn't bode well for how they act with the kids. I wouldn't recommend this daycare. It's probably best to pick a different sigis facility or another daycare entirely.
