The only place in Toronto where you can find Ugali. Ugali is undoubtedly good with mchicha. Mishkaki was also good but wings were neither appealing or delicious. Very disappointed with pili pili wings. Their masala tea was good. Had substituted fries with mogu which were tasteless. Not even a pinch of salt on them.

My first time having East African food and it was INCREDIBLE. Everything was piping hot, freshly made to order and delicious. All of this food (minus the 3rd picture of the mogos which we paid extra to substitute a different flavour… worth it tbh) was part of the Simba platter for 2 deal. It was a huge portion and we took most of it home. The sauces are all incredible and a must-try. The owners are lovely and welcoming - I am definitely coming back!

Great tasty food, made fresh! We don’t find much East African food in the US, so we really wanted to try some in Toronto and this hit the spot. We got the combo for two (but could really serve 4 people) which came with beef mishkaki, chicken mishkaki, and ribs. The ribs were delicious and spiced perfectly.

Really great restaurant! A nice and cozy place. Just found it online by chance and brought my mom here because she was born in Kenya. The food was really good! Tried the mogo, beef mushkaki, beef samosas and beef kebabs and they were all really great! Owners were really friendly and made good conversation. Had a lot of leftovers to take home too. Will be coming back again in the future hopefully!

What a great experience. We went to this restaurant out of curiosity and ended up meeting some amazing people—the owner from India, the cook from South Africa, and a helper from Afghanistan. The food was really good, but the service is what stood out and made us feel genuinely welcome. If you’re looking for something different from the usual restaurant outing, this place is worth a visit. Thank you Simba Grill for the great food and for opening our eyes to the people and cultures that make this city home.
