  Stopped for lunch. Walking in place was a mess. Ordering food was easy staff seemed friendly and helpful very polite. Diving into ordered mixed fried rice chicken on top to go. Opening bag scent wasn't very appealing. Chicken was good moist and crispy, rice tasty and soft, shrimp and pork had a funky smell and taste, veggies were fresh. Didn't finish food as it was distasteful.

  This is my absolute favourite Caribbean restaurant in town! The pepper shrimp, special chicken and young chow fried rice are my favourite dishes and a must try. The service here is top tier and I love all the beautiful bartenders! The owners are also amazing people as well. Give this place a try! You won’t be disappointed!!

  Parrot Nest is my go to spot for all my catering needs as I host and attend many family gatherings that require quality food in large quantities. Their food is fresh, tasty and everyone is happy to go home with food as the portions are large. I love their fried rice, special chicken, pepper shrimp, fries and chicken wings. Their famous hot sauce takes their food to the next level. My absolute favourite is their wonton soup with shrimp. The owners Savi and Kevin are fantastic, kind and welcoming. They treat ALL their customers like family and have created a home away from home type of environment where people feel comfortable to relax after a long day, have some drinks, listen to some sweet tunes and enjoy an affordable freshly made meal. I have attended karaoke night, birthday parties, summer bbq and several Parrot Nest events including their annual boat cruise and have a blast every time!

They don’t just serve great food—they make it a priority to bring people together through fun, engaging events like karaoke nights, paint nights, and even group viewings of sporting events. It’s the kind of place where there’s always something happening and everyone feels included. The food is outstanding, with every dish prepared with care and bold Caribbean flair. The chicken wontons are my absolute favourite: crispy, delicious, and impossible to stop eating. But almost everything I’ve tried on the menu has been Absolutely delicious. You can genuinely taste the love and attention that goes into every plate. The atmosphere ties everything together—great vibes, friendly people, laughter, and a relaxed yet lively energy that makes you want to stay longer than planned. Whether you’re coming for the food, the events, or the sense of connection, this place delivers!!!! A true neighborhood gem right at the corner of Jane and Shepherd with incredible food, passionate owners, and a welcoming spirit that keeps you coming back.
