Very quite and productive library. They have books, DVDs, audiobooks, printers, photocopiers, etc. They also have many services which you can inquire about. Usually not busy, great community room for booking available. Their hours are kind of weird. Otherwise I would recommend.

We were in the neighbourhood looking for a public library to drop off my library books. My friend wanted to use the public washroom and noticed a sign to retrieve the key at the Reference desk. The Asian lady staff member refused to give us the keys that were in the basket on her desk for some strange reason. She mumbled something that we could not use the washroom without a clear reason. My friend just got fed up with her stupidity and we left. There was no "Out of Order" sign on either the Men's and Women's washrooms. We've never experienced this problem with any Toronto library. Not sure what the vibe of the neighbourhood is like to make the library staff so rude. We will just stick to the downtown Toronto libraries.

I used this branch for several years when I lived across the street. I always found the staff friendly, helpful and cooperative. The on-shelf selection is adequate but with the internet catalogue the entire Toronto Public Library system is at your fingerprints.

Overall the experience was good on weekends. However, on weekdays evenings there are several parents with their very noisy children. One who is playing piano or something in the library other one is playing like it’s playground. They are really very disturbing for genuine readers. I understand they are children and they’re not silent everywhere but it is liberty parents should know this and behave accordingly. I hope staff will guide the parents regarding rules and regulations of liberty. It’s library not a playground. I just stopped going there for reading on the weekdays because of this issue. I hope library remains library all the time. Staff is very nice and atmosphere is good accept the noise. Thank you

Toronto Public Library is a very nice and peaceful place. The staff are always respectful, friendly, and helpful. Registration took only 10 minutes, which was fast and easy. I’ve seen lots of kids and adults using the computers — it’s a great community space for everyone. The library is quiet, clean, and has in-house washrooms for men and women. There’s plenty of parking and always lots of empty spots available. They also have printing facilities inside, which is very convenient. The reading area feels cozy, and there’s a beautiful view of Lawrence Ave East from the windows. Truly one of the best places for the community. Highly recommended!
