The Riverdale Branch of the Toronto Public Library offers a welcoming space for families with young children to explore books and participate in engaging programs.

What to expect

This library branch provides a dedicated area for children's programming, including popular storytime sessions that are a hit with toddlers and preschoolers. It's a great indoor option for families looking for free, educational activities on any day of the week.

Best for

Ideal for parents seeking free, educational, and engaging activities for their young children, especially during storytime.

I like the AC blasting and there is enough spaces to work at but I'm not so sure of the books catalogue because I haven't used them. It's a little loud and sometimes smells but that's a different problem I guess.

There are many perks to living in Toronto - world class City, great restaurants, multicultural neighborhoods, cultural, arts and sports events. A wonderful perk is the Toronto Public Library system, with helpful staff, great collection of books, periodicals, research materials (online and paper form), thank you! ⭐️♥️🤩♥️⭐️

Nice, spacious library to get work done.

The "quiet room"nowadays is frequently is not available to patrons and everytime you go in there's always a sign that says closed for a period of time and we'd have to resort to going into the children's room with them noisy kids running around like loose cannons. Don't understand why the rooms are often not available; it's not like they're holding a staff meeting everyday!!!

Edit March 2025: the best one is the tall guy with the glasses. At least he doesn't constantly walk around. This female and another younger looking male are always walking behind you or in front of you, like what, are you so bored you need to keep walking around patrons????? Security guards are a hit or miss here. Some of them walk constantly up and down like it's a grocery store. Just chill and sit still!!!!! Can't even relax with someone constantly walking in front/behind you.
