United Bakers is a slice of nostalgia. It feels like your neighbourhood diner, offering up friendly service and homemade classics. The pea soup was phenomenal. We also really enjoyed the Greek salad and latkes. Our server, Mert, was absolutely fantastic and one of the best parts of the experience. He was friendly, generous, and made great recommendations.

My first time going and will go back, very attentive service, large plates of different food options! The baked goods looked so delicious, I was so full when I left but I will go back to taste them. There was 3 of us.

Love this bakery! The lox and cream cheese sandwich with the works was flavourful and tasty blending the traditionally made baba’s bagels with classic accoutrements. The ambience felt like a family affair with kosher potato lakas and exquisite soups with breakfast. The ambience feels like home. Highly recommend a sit down visit before picking up holiday desserts and bagels.

This institution is apparently due to move to a future unknown location. The current location is due to close. Visit it while you can with the best split pea soup in the city, and just fantastic down to earth lunch and breakfast options. I always get scrambled eggs with lux and onions with a side bagel. If it’s past 10:30 I have to have at least a cup of pea soup. Hurry before it disappears!
