  My son did Advanced Rudiments exam back in August 2016, so forgot about most of the materials when deciding to take Harmony Level 9 at Mr. Ware's class in September 2019. The concepts in Harmony L9 seems extremely challenging and the group lessons requires exceptional self regulation and motivations. My son was far behind the curriculum when the December exam was near, so in addition to group lessons, I put him to Mr. Ware's private lessons. Mr. Ware excellent teaching eventually made the comprehensive materials comprehended. For a kid at 12 years-old at piano level 8, harmony L9 requires much deeper understanding than being able to play piano pieces, thanks to Mr. Ware's unique teaching method, he got 85 in December Harmony L9 exam. I would highly recommend kids at similar level to take group plus private lessons with Mr. Ware. It means success in RCM harmony exams.

  I took Harmony and History courses here at Ware. Both teachers taught amazingly, and despite the difficulty of the material, I thoroughly understood it. Partially due to the clarity of the textbooks, and partially due to the clarity of the teaching. Classes are unique and very engaging, presented with enthusiasm and care. They are fast-paced, but still taught with attention to detail-generating great marks! I personally found classes to be very fun and I enjoyed all the time that I had here. Thank you, Lynn and Peter, for the wonderful teaching! I am deeply grateful for all that you've done, and I wish you the best for the future. I highly recommend Ware Academy to any musicians with a strong passion for a deeper understanding of music.

  I'm glad to have found Ware Academy for group theory lessons (L5 to L8) for my son. I appreciated Peter taking the time to explain their methodology and approach to the lessons when I first contacted Ware Academy for the theory lessons. Lynn is an amazing teacher and she made the class interesting for the students. My son always looked forward to the lessons. The lessons came with practice sheets as well as weekly tests. Lynn made sure to spend extra time to go over any concepts she found the students struggling during the tests. I can attest to the fact, the theory lessons provided a solid foundation for my son to prepare him for the level 8 exam and beyond.

  I have been Peter's piano student for over 5 years now, and he is by far the best teacher I've had. I recently was able to complete my ARCT in piano performance and couldn't have done it without Peter's motivation, feedback, and guidance that let me find my musicality and style as a pianist. Further, I've taken all RCM theory courses with Peter and Lynn, and have always done well. Definitely would recommend :)

  I've been a student of both Lynn and Peter Ware for almost two years now and I've got to say, I've been glad with the results. I have really enjoyed every piano course and have learned a lot from Lynn's skillful music theory classes. Both teachers are understanding and encouraging. Peter's classes are very detailed and he definitely puts a lot of feeling into music. As far as I know, Lynn's classes are interesting and filled with knowledge. For anyone having the need to find a good music teacher, I've been there too and I can happily say this is a good choice. In the end, I just want to say, Ware Academy of Music is a really good place to start off or continue your journey in music.
