A great cozy place to eat. Delicious food. I was with a date. I tried Chicken Penne and my date had Chicken Fettuccine. We both loved it. The complementary garlic bread was also good.

Drove a bout 20 minutes from downtown to try out this place for the first time. We ordered the ordinary breakfast “ Special No. 1” with 3 eggs, beacons, hash browns, buttered toasts and juice. Additionally share an order of pancakes. The foods were all good, besides the tiny hair found in my eggs, it was all good. Especially the thin looking pancakes were very spongy, so delicious Service was also good, again a one man show waitress who runs the floor outside of the kitchen, and she did not miss a single nail. Will come again and give them business for sure.

I must say to eat here was a delight. This restaurant is family owned and looks like many of the locals eat here as regulars. Went here with my uncle who lives close by and upon entering the restaurant, my uncle was greeted by the owner and a few servers who know him. We were also welcomed warmly as though we were regulars too. Very busy so service was a bit slow, however we were in no hurry so it was fine. Gave us time to settle in our booth, check out the menu and chat. Food was perfect. Felt like a mom and pop restaurant. Will return again when we are in the area. Thank you Renata for your sweet smile, service and a final hug before we left.

I was in a mood for a steak and eggs, and since this place is close to my daughter’s school I decided to give it a try. I read another review about how this place caters to old people and that is true. The decor and atmosphere is like a Time Machine to long long time ago. The patrons have aged but the decor has stayed the same. Another observation to make is that, this diner has a typical “Greek restaurant” feel, I don’t know how to describe it but the vibe you get is same as when you go to Frans or other Greek owned restaurants. It’s a feel, even the smell and the menu. The prices are not the highest but are also not the lowest. Considering I was coming for a steak and eggs I thought it was a fair ask. The food actually was very good. The home fries were delicious, crispy on the outside but chewy inside and the right amount of flavour. The steak, was good enough for a diner, wasn’t expecting steakhouse quality. By comparison I eat at another diner type restaurant the week prior (will review soon) and their steak and eggs was awful. Windfields was pretty good. I give the food 5 stars. The only reason I couldn’t write a 5 star review about them was the service was a little slow and the waitress was a little unfriendly + the atmosphere like another reviewer pointed out recently it’s not a “hip/cool” place.

Breakfast is very tasty and hearty 8/10. Staff are friendly and quick 9/10. Souvlaki is not very tasty, 6/10. Cheeseburger was alright 7/10. Overall it's a good spot for breakfast items but prices are a bit high for me for everything else so I'm not sure if I can recommend it.
