My son has been attending Wizz Kidz for the past 7 years - starting at the age of 5. Having gone through the RCM method, I was looking for a music program that would be more intuitive and engaging. Not only did we find that program at Wizz Kidz, but my son went from tapping keys and singing in year 1 to composing by year 3 and falling in love with performing. We're grateful to have found Eliza and Cynthia - their impact on my son's musicality and confidence have been immeasurable. Highly recommend!

Our two kids have been attending music, Lego and language classes at Wizz Kidz for over 10 years. To say that the kids LOVE coming here would be an understatement. The music director (Eliza Wong and Cynthia Chang) and all the teachers are engaging, caring and truly invested in the "whole child development". Music (piano, guitar, drums - we've done it all) is the medium taught here, but the true lessons are: character, grit and team-work. My biggest advice to families considering music is to start early! The group classes for the 4/5 years old are so much FUN. And the learning builds slowly, so the kids are playing whole songs with two hands before they can even read! Magical.

My two kids have been participating at Wizz Kidz for over 5 years now and it has been a fantastic experience. I wanted something different than RCM and for us the Yamaha training is so much better. In their piano lessons, in addition to learning how to read music, the kids also learn to play by ear, which as a musician myself, is such an important skill to develop. The group piano classes for younger children (ages 5-9) make learning so much easier and enjoyable. Eliza is an incredible piano instructor, who also teaches the kids important life skills along the way (raising hands, manners, etc.). The other major benefit of the school is that they offer a wide range of opportunities. My daughter who started in piano, now does vocal training, which she thoroughly enjoys. She's also joined the Wizz Kidz band, which is a great opportunity for her to gain the experience of playing with others. Lessons also include two concert performances, which are well-organized, fun and give the kids an opportunity to play in front of others. A bonus to all of this is that the lessons are quite affordable compared with other music programs and the atmosphere is very friendly with wonderful staff all around. I highly recommend Wizz Kidz!

We went to Wizz Kidz for a piano assessment and unfortunately, it was not a good experience. The staff was unprofessional and surprisingly rude, especially when it came to interacting with children. What really upset us was how they spoke negatively about my child right in front of him — something that’s not only inappropriate but also discouraging for a young learner. It felt like they lacked both the sensitivity and experience needed to work with kids. We won’t be returning, and I hope they seriously reconsider how they approach children and their families in the future.

I very rarely write reviews but felt that Wizzkids deserved to be recognized for its contribution to the musical education of my children for the past 5 years. My children have been studying piano and saxophone but the school also offers other instruments. What truly set Wizzkids apart is the thoughtful blend of group and individual instruction. Group classes are a welcoming space where kids gather to learn, experiment, and feed off each other's energy—perfect for ensemble skills, rhythm work, and building confidence together. These are complemented by personalized one-on-one sessions that zero in on individual goals, technique, and creative voice. It’s the best of both worlds: collaboration and customization. WizzKidz’s curriculum shines even brighter. It doesn’t just teach how to play—it teaches how to think and create. Music theory is seamlessly woven into practical lessons, guiding students to understand the “why” behind every chord, progression, and melody. And when it comes to composition, students are encouraged to explore their unique musical ideas—supported by feedback, prompts, and an environment that values creativity as much as technical skill. Please note that an initial assessment is offered to allow for individualized recommendations for the appropriate approach to learning based on each child’s previous experience as well as natural musical ability. The staff has a passion and experience in music education that will direct your child into the best learning environment for them. I have recommended many friends and colleagues with no reservations to this music school and they have been in agreement that this school has offered a wonderful experience for our children.
