  Aspen Hill Montessori - Strathcona Campus has been an exceptional early childhood education experience for both of our children. Our eldest daughter attended this campus until kindergarten, and now our 2-year-old son is currently enrolled. The quality of care and education has remained consistently high over the years, which speaks volumes about the leadership and staff commitment. Although this campus is housed in an older building within a church, we have found that it offers several distinct advantages. The smaller class sizes allow for more individualized attention and support, which has been incredibly beneficial for both of our children. Additionally, the large indoor gymnasium is an invaluable resource especially during days of inclement weather, poor air quality, or extreme cold. Having such a large gym ensures the children still receive the physical activity that is so crucial to their development. What truly sets this campus apart is the depth of care and connection between the staff and children. Our son has developed strong, healthy emotional attachments with each of his teachers. He looks forward to attending each day and often babbles of his teachers with genuine affection when he is at home. This level of emotional security and attachment has been essential for his growth and well-being, and we observed the same nurturing environment when our daughter was in attendance at a younger age. Aspen Hill Montessori operates with a high degree of organization and professionalism. While the policies and procedures can feel strict at times, it is clear they are implemented thoughtfully and with the best interest of all children and families in mind. The structure and consistency have helped create a safe, predictable environment in which our children are able to thrive. In particular, we greatly value the school’s approach to security. The policy that parents do not enter the building and instead wait outside for drop-off and pick-up may seem strict, but it provides a clear sense of safety and control over who has access to the children. As parents, this gives us peace of mind knowing that our child is in a secure and closely monitored environment. We are deeply grateful for the care, professionalism, and dedication shown by the entire team at Aspen Hill Montessori. It is a place where children are truly seen, supported, and given the foundation to grow with confidence and joy.

  We've had a very positive experience with Aspen Hill Montessori’s Casa program. It has provided a caring and supportive environment for our daughter, where she has continued to grow both socially and academically.
