The soup and sandwich were both delicious, and the coffee was excellent. Everything was fresh and very enjoyable. I would definitely come back again.

Covernote Coffee House is one of the best coffee shops in Richmond Hill and a great change from the usual franchise spots. It’s located in a charming old school building, and the cozy interior design makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time, almost 100 years ago. The atmosphere is warm, peaceful, and full of character. They offer a great variety of drinks, pastries, and food, especially for breakfast. Everything tastes fresh and is made with care. Whether you're grabbing a coffee and croissant or sitting down for a full breakfast, you'll leave satisfied. It’s a perfect place to catch up with friends or relax on your own. One of my favorite things is the large outdoor patio, which is perfect on a nice day. It’s also just a short walk to the Village of Richmond Hill, making it a great stop during a stroll in the area. Free parking is available at the back, which is really convenient. The only downside is that they close a bit early (7 PM), so it’s not the place for a late-night visit. Also, since you order at the counter, it would be nice if they brought the food to your table especially since the payment machine always asks for a tip. But overall, it’s a lovely spot with great food and a unique vibe you won’t find anywhere else.

This is one of my top cafes in the GTA. I would like to gate keep it if I could but the place deserves the recognition. Beautiful nooks to read and catch up with friends. The place has character, with a it’s exposed brick and tons of books to choose from. I like to come here to do some light work. Amazing ambiance. Only downside is that during the winter it can get a bit cold.

The food and atmosphere are fantastic, making for a delightful experience. However, if you visit during peak hours or late, you'll need to find a table yourself. It would be helpful if the coffee house provided a numbering system for the waiting list to make the process smoother.

Super tasty food and drinks, despite the higher price! The seasonal fall drinks are really good and cozy (the pumpkin chai was delish). The space is really nice, too, and service is lovely. The bookshelves are such a great idea and filled with awesome finds. I love the fact that I can bring and use my own cup… and the little discount associated with this! Covernotes is always sure to be a cute and yummy stop, alone or with friends 😌
