Great experience going through this wonderful historical site, we went during the 90th anniversary so everything was free. Went during the day so we didn't look through the scope but it was still fun! Recommend going during night so you can see through the scope itself. Still a nice experience and recommend going before it becomes paid again

We visited the Richmond Hill David Dunlap Observatory on Saturday for a talk about auroras, and it was truly an amazing experience. Everyone who presented was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable, and you could really feel how much they love what they do. We learned so many fascinating new things, and it was such a pleasure to see how many families came with their kids to learn and explore. It’s so important to educate and inspire the younger generation, and what you’re doing here truly matters. Huge thank you to everyone who was part of making this experience possible. We’re very grateful and can’t wait to come back

Wow, amazing place to come for a visit. We came for the "Up in the Sky" event. I took both my kids, 11 and 10 year olds and they had fun learning about the stars, planets, how a star map works etc. We even got to visit the giant telescope. One of the staff demonstrated how the telescope moves. Unfortunately it was a cloudy night so they didnt open the dome. But, deff fun and lots of information and interesting facts about space. We will be coming back for futures events, and already booked the next one 😀

An important piece of history. We found this by chance while looking at the Atlas Obsura app and we were only 20 mints or so away, so we went to check out out. Very cool. Very impressive what has been discovered with this very telescope during its career. Even more impressive it still functions. We're hoping to be able to look through it one day.
