  I've had two kids attend Hopscotch and both have had a fantastic experience. The caregivers treat the children like their own. Hopscotch has a full commercial kitchen onsite and they serve food I wish I could eat for lunch. One of the best daycares available in St. Albert and the Edmonton region.

  As a Pediatrician and mom of children at Hopscotch, I can’t begin to tell you how extraordinary this centre is. Owners Linzi and Tyler and directors Dallas and Tamara (Tam) have created the warmest, most welcoming home away from home. We were sold on Hopscotch the day Tam showed us around and described how meaningful her experience caring for children has been, maintaining a close bond with kids even years after caring for them. Her bubbly enthusiasm was infectious, and it was obvious how passionate this team was about Early Childhood Education. Not only are all kids (and their parents!) known by their first names, no matter what classroom they are in, they feel included and loved. Regular communication from Dallas and Tyler is outstanding. The teachers (who never leave!!) are friendly, experienced and have become an integral part of our kids’ development. The curriculum (yes! In a daycare!) is fun, challenging and out-of-this-world creative (picture holding a real-life turtle on reptile day, chatting with a firefighter for public service week and digging for “fossils” during dinosaur days!). I’m actually relieved my youngest is slightly too young for kindergarten this September; as it means another year in this amazing daycare.

  Owners and staff are great! Food has been well thought out for nutrition and trying new things with kids who may not otherwise see that kind of food at home! Always really well thought out sensory crafts and play.

  We could not say enough wonderful things about this facility. The staff, teachers, and owners have gone beyond our expectations. They have wonderful educational programs that our daughter is learning so much from. They are extremely organized from their food menu, scheduling, and they even do a monthly news letter. They truely put so much effort into being professional, their business website is very well put together, and they have such a user friendly app that they provide updates and photos regularly. The facility is very clean and they do some really neat themed days. They even bring in outside presentations multiple times a year. Overall we absolutely love this place!

  I don’t know why I haven’t written a review sooner but this hands down is the best place to send your kids. I had my oldest in Kepler at 18 months and he struggled with the high staff turn over so we moved him to hopscotch at 21 months. He’s now 4.5 and still loving it here. I have 3 kids now at hopscotch- 15 months, 3, and 4.5 years. I can say each room with their educators is amazing. Most of the teachers here have been here for years and you can tell they love their jobs and the kiddos. Yoga, African drums, baby chicks, raising butterflies, reptile visits, playground and splash park visits and walk around the ponds are just some of what you can expect. Dallas, Ashley, and Karen are wonderful daycare directors. Any concerns we’ve had have been discussed and dealt with. Finding a daycare that checks all the boxes is hard but we lucked out when we found this gem years ago.
