I have only gone to this location 2 times. Once about 4 years ago and again in 2023. Both times the receptionist has been rude, 2 different people. From the first interaction I didn't want to go back. The only reason I went back was for a birthday party. This receptionist was also incredible rude. They came across as though they didn't care, rude tone of voice as though how dare I interrupt them so they couldn't be on their phone, was the feeling I got from this person Poor signage, zero staff to help find the birthday room that is tucked at the very back behind a free weights area. The only reason I was able to find it is because a gentleman who was a member gave me directions ( that I could actually hear, as I had asked the receptionist but they mumbled the entire time). The person at the front desk was also eating and talking with their mouth full when my partner had gone in to get our kid. Not saying they shouldn't eat, but sad that they ha were eating while working vs not on break, or not given the option to have someone else watch the front desk so they could eat. Either way, I was not impressed yet again. Looking forward to never going back.

I’ve been to many different YMCA locations in 3 provinces, and this location has a steam room that isn’t very clean. Definitely bring your flip flops. The showers come out scorching hot. The steam room looks and smells like it’s rarely cleaned and or sanitized. No pool on site, which from my experience, is only the 2nd one I’ve ever seen without. Aside from that, it has everything one could expect from a YMCA.

It's a great place to workout, but with the lack of staff lately there are a lot of groups of people taking over equipment, and others slamming the weights together. More staff, and staff that will tell people to be gentle with the weights would make it a more enjoyable experience again.

It would be really nice if there was a rule on how many people to a piece of equipment. The gym is always overcrowded with teens. Yes it is nice that they have a space to work out but having 4-5 teenage boys all standing around a machine you want to use while taking pictures and flexing for over 20 minutes is a bit ridiculous. I am always having to modify my planned workout because of equipment availability and overcrowding.

I dont normally have a bad thing to say about staff but I went into this afternoon and forgot my fob. So I went to the front to ask to get in and I usually don't have a hard time with it until today. The lady at the front was completely rude and unprofessional. I hope she ups her customer service skills!!!
