  My son has been attending Sixteenth Avenue Child Care Centre for nearly two years, and as we prepare to say goodbye at the end of August, my family want to take a moment to sincerely thank the amazing teachers who made this experience so special: Ms. Shabnam, Ms. Maryam, and Ms. Ellen. We feel incredibly grateful and fortunate that my son went through his preschool years in such a safe, nurturing, and well-managed environment. One thing that stood out to us as parents is how well the teachers maintained a harmonious atmosphere in the classroom. In many other centres, it’s common to hear about older preschoolers (age 4) overpowering the younger ones (2.5–3 years old), but during our entire time at this center, we never once heard of such issues in this class. That speaks volumes about the teachers’ dedication and classroom management skills. We’ll always remember Ms. Shabnam’s kindness and professionalism. On Maxwell’s very first trial day, while she was supervising the kids outside, she took the time to stop me, introduced herself warmly, and reassure us that our child was in good hands. For a worried parent leaving their child in a new environment, that thoughtful gesture meant everything. Over the years, we saw her gently comfort my son when he was reluctant to go in, sometimes offering a small toy or simply kneeling down to speak to him at eye level. Those little moments made a big difference. Ms. Maryam was always there with a kind hug when Maxwell felt sad or overwhelmed. Her gentle presence and caring nature brought so much comfort and security, and we truly appreciated the emotional support she offered. Ms. Eleen brought creativity into the classroom, especially during arts and crafts time. We often saw the results of her efforts in the lovely handmade projects my son brought home. It was clear that she played an important role in enriching the children's learning through hands-on activities. We’re very thankful to all three teachers for their dedication, patience, and warmth. They helped create a safe and joyful preschool experience for my son, and we’ll always carry these memories with gratitude.

  Our daughter attended the preschool class at this center for two years. We are incredibly grateful for the warm and nurturing environment created by the wonderful educators Ms. Maryam, Ms. Shabnam, and Ms. Ellen. Each educator brought something uniquely special to her journey. During her time at the center, our daughter developed greater self-confidence and a range of important social and developmental skills. She was encouraged to explore and learn through daily nature walks, creative arts, and a variety of hands-on activities that kept her engaged and curious. The patience, care, and encouragement she received from the entire team have truly made a lasting impact. Thanks again to Ms. Nasira and her wonderful team for all the love and attention they’ve given her and everything they’ve done to support her growth.

  It’s a day “Care”, but the only thing the don’t do is to “Care” for children especially for Toddlers. They don’t have camera, so you don’t know if anything happens there. Your child is toddler and they can’t talk properly to explain what happened and the staff doesn’t care much and make “You” seems illusions about what happened there. Don’t send your child to this place ( especially toddler group), they’re not doing their job which’s To “Care” for children.

  As newcomers to Canada, my wife and I were searching for a nurturing and supportive environment for our two boys, ages 4 and 15 months. After reading numerous positive reviews and seeking guidance in prayer, we were led to choose 16th Avenue Child Care Centre (Daycare and Preschool). From the very beginning, our experience has been exceptional and has far exceeded our expectations. Our eldest son started attending in September 2023 at the age of 3, and our youngest joined after his first birthday, aligning with the centre's thoughtful policy that only a small percentage of children can start at that age. The transition for both boys was smooth, and we felt assured by the care and attention they received. From our first interaction, Mrs. Nasira (Supervisor) and her team were extremely professional, responsive, and welcoming. Their warmth made us feel valued as we navigated this new stage in our parenting journey in a new country. The centre's diverse programs have had a positive impact on our children, including outdoor education, nature walks, arts, music, storytelling, and water games. These programs have helped our children grow emotionally, physically, and intellectually, sparking a love for learning that we’re grateful for. The CWELCC discount has been a great help, providing us financial relief and allowing us to focus on our children's development. The staff have been a true blessing to our family. Ms. Maideh, Ms. Ellen, Maryam, and Ms. Shabnam, just to mention a few, have been kind, attentive, and have created an environment where our children feel loved and excited to attend each day. Our boys come home eager to share their experiences, whether it’s their nature walks, water play, or the songs they’ve learned. We are deeply thankful for 16th Avenue Child Care Centre and look forward to our baby on the way joining their brothers in this supportive and enriching environment. The care, dedication, and sense of belonging we’ve found here has made our transition to Canada much smoother.   5/5 recommended! My son switched to this day care center since he could not immerse into the culture of the previous one. Thanks to Miss Ellen, Miss Maryam and Miss Shablam's help, they turned my son to a sunny, happy boy which totally changed our lifes. We have been staying in this center for one and a half year. You can tell that they are really caring your child when they can tell if your kid has learnt anything new today. The teachers also spent many effort in the classroom setup and often times I can see there is something new in the room. The principal, Miss Nasira is also very kind and she provided great comfort to us when we were having a hard time. One true story is that my son enjoyed the time here so much so there was a period he kept saying " I don't wanna go home!" when we pick him up. Of course, Miss Nasira and all the teachers have checked up with our well being and we all laughed around on how much my kid love to staying school! Our family is expecting for a new member to come to the world, and we are definitely coming back to this center. If you want your kid to grow happily and staying in a positive environment, this is where you go!
