I don’t even know where to start. We signed up our son Nicholas at 14 months old and as new parents we were so anxious about leaving him with strangers. We were nearly in tears on our first day. When we met Carmine i just had a great feeling about his fatherly nature. I felt like he just understood me and my family. All of my son’s teachers were amazing. Shout out to Ms Annette, Ms Mimi, Ms Victoria, Ms Sweta Ms Charmila and many more. Thank you for looking after our son like he was your own. We will never forget the sacrifices each of you have made. Being mew parents this was our first experience being away from our child throughout the day. Even when we sent messages and asked for photos we never felt like we were being over bearing. Everyone always made us feel comfortable. We love everyone there. Our son had an opportunity to go to a full time private school and we had to pull him out one year early. It was a really difficult decision because of the family we had built at Elephant room. Carmine and all the girls are nothing short of amazing. Thank You from the bottom of our hearts.

Amazing center with amazing teachers and staff that care so much about the kids! My son has been attenting the infant room for the past 3 months. Carmine and Ms. Chamila have always made us feel so at ease. We love it here. Cannot recommend highly enough! Big shout out to the infant room teachers who always send home a happy baby.

My kid graduated from the elephant room and hands down - they’re the best daycare in all of Durham - possibly GTA too. Your kid couldn’t be in better hands 🙂 they truly CARE for your kids’ wellbeing & development and treat them like family, and ‘not just another kid’. They’re also swift to address any matter you bring to them with an open mind and the teachers take the time to share updates about your kids day at pick up, which is lovely. I’ve always felt assured and comfortable dropping off my kid there in a safe and loving environment, and you’ll see your kid learning so much every day! Bonus, when these kids graduate daycare they’re already ahead of most JK kids 🙂 and so the jk transition becomes a breeze!

Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience. They invited us to come see the daycare before 7:30 a.m., which is very unusual and inconvenient for families. Still we went to see the daycare early in the morning. Called us yesterday at 4pm told there was a spot available and had to make a decision by 4 p.m today, only to be told later that the spot was given to another family. It feels like they invite multiple families at once and then pick and choose who gets the spot. Very misleading and poorly managed — families deserve honesty and proper communication. The only email you will get out of them “apologize for the inconvenience”. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

So I have waited a full daycare cycle (from 18 months to 4 years of age) that my daughter has attended The Elephant Room at Harwood location to write this review! From the first day to the last day here, the care, love, and kindness shown by all staff at this facility is phenomenal. As a parent, to see your child happily go to daycare and come back with a big smile every day has made the experience easy. Thank you to every caregiver working here!
