I visited Tomo Sushi recently, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable sushi experiences I’ve had in Canada. The quality and freshness of the fish were exceptional, and the presentation was clean and elegant from start to finish. The nigiri selection was impressive—especially the shima-aji (striped jack). It’s not a fish I usually find easily in Canada, so tasting it here was a real highlight. The texture was buttery yet firm, and the flavour was incredibly refined. Every piece felt carefully handled by the chef. The chef also surprised us with a special roll that wasn’t on the menu. It came beautifully plated and layered with multiple textures—crispy, creamy, savoury, and perfectly balanced. It’s the type of roll that tells you the chef truly enjoys creating something unique for guests. Overall, the experience was excellent: great service, thoughtful preparation, and some of the freshest fish I’ve had since coming to Canada. I would definitely return and highly recommend Tomo Sushi to anyone looking for authentic quality with a creative touch.

Amazing sushi at really good value. My family of 3 ordered a Deluxe sushi tray and it was so fresh and tasty. The tray had a good mix of nigiri, sashimi, and maki. My favourite was the Otoro tuna sashimi (fatty and yummy). We were stuffed by the end and still had enough left to take home for lunch the next day! We were also pleasantly surprised by how good the tempura ice cream was. The contrast between hot and cold + creamy and crunchy textures made dessert very enjoyable. Will definitely look to come back another time.

Tomo Sushi is not only delicious, but it also makes you feel truly welcomed and taken care of. The first time I visited, I was invited to a private room, and the experience felt very special. The set menu price was excellent and very reasonable for the quality and portion. Since then, whenever I want to treat someone to a nice meal, this is one of the places I often choose. It’s the perfect place to host and treat others. Even the dessert ice cream at the end was amazing! If you need to buy a meal for someone special, Tomo Sushi is the place to go.

We stumbled across Tomo Sushi while we were in the area. We ordered 2 California Rolls, Salmon Sashimi Sushi Rolls Lunch Combo, and a Bulgogi Lunch Combo. The food arrived quickly and tasted delicious. My kids loved the California Rolls. Our server was Joyce and she provided excellent service. We'll come back again when we're in the area.

Tomo Sushi in Richmond Hill is excellent. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, the service is quick, and it never feels overly busy or crowded. The food came out fast and everything was fresh and well prepared. Overall a great experience — I will definitely be back.
